About me

Hello! I’m Tegan O’Neill, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I weave creativity and movement into evidenced informed therapy, with a special focus on supporting folks affected by cancer. My path to becoming a therapist in this space has been shaped by both my professional training and my own personal history with cancer. These experiences have not only deepened my understanding of what it means to heal, but also sparked a deep commitment to supporting others whose lives have been affected by cancer.

Through my education and work, I have had the opportunity to explore a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET). These tools, along with my personal experiences with illness and health, allow me to blend traditional therapy with more creative, somatic practices—including movement, meditation, and journaling—that inspire self-expression and personal growth.

I believe healing is a dynamic and holistic process that can be transformative. Whether you are facing a cancer diagnosis or navigating the effects of cancer in your family, my goal is to provide a space where creativity and healing flow together, helping you tap into your resilience and make meaning of your experience.

Therapy, movement, connection, reflection, and more.

My services

Therapy
Let’s explore what’s possible. Therapy is a space for discovery, growth, and support. Whether you’re unpacking heavy emotions, making sense of life’s challenges, or finding new ways to cope, we’ll work together to create a safe, open environment where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered.

Movement
Let’s move through it. Healing isn’t just about sitting still and reflecting; sometimes, it’s about getting the energy moving, whether that’s through dance, gentle stretching, or simply shifting the way we think. I believe in the power of movement to release tension, spark creativity, and shift our mindset.

Connection
Let’s find others. Healing happens when we connect—to ourselves, to our experiences, and to others who understand. Whether it’s through therapy, support groups, or shared resources, you don’t have to walk this path alone. We’ll explore ways to create meaningful connections that nourish you, allowing you to build a network of support that feels both comforting and empowering.

Resource Support
Let’s find the information you need. When navigating something as complex as cancer or life’s big challenges, information is power. But knowing where to look can be overwhelming. I’m here to help you sift through the noise and find the resources that matter most—whether that’s treatment options, coping strategies, or ways to embrace new forms of self-care.
