About me
Hello! I’m Tegan O’Neill, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I offer evidenced-informed therapy, with a special focus on supporting folks affected by cancer. My path to becoming a therapist in this space has been shaped by both my professional training and my own personal history with cancer. These experiences have not only deepened my understanding of what it means to heal, but also sparked a deep commitment to supporting others whose lives have been affected by cancer.
I am trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET). These tools, along with my personal experiences with illness and health, allow me to blend traditional therapy with a holistic approach that inspires self-expression and personal growth.
I believe healing is a dynamic process that can be transformative. Whether you are facing a cancer diagnosis or navigating the effects of cancer in your family, my goal is to provide a space where you can process your emotions, learn skills to cope, tap into your resilience and make meaning of your experience.
Therapy, connection, reflection.

Group Therapy
Healing happens when we connect. Sage Therapies offers two weekly 60 minute rolling admissions groups:
Creating Connections: A group for folks who have or had a diagnosis of cancer. The group provides a container to process emotions, share resources and build a network of support that feels both comforting and empowering. Mondays 6-7pm.
Friends + Family: A group for folks who have a friend, family member, significant other or colleague affected by cancer. The group offers a space to navigate the particular nuances of having a loved one experience cancer, learn coping strategies and create meaningful and nourishing connections. Wednesdays 6-7pm.
Both individual and group therapy are offered virtually on a secure therapy platform.
